MY REVIEW:
This is a nice romance tale from Burke - the first in the Lords in Love series. We follow the journey of Duke Lawford, who is destined by fate to take a forced pit stop that ends becoming way too long for his liking. He is unaware that the May Day Matchmaking Festival that he has landed right into, would eventually set his life on a whole new twirl, thanks to 24-year-old Sadie Campion. How they overcome their social divide, and surmount the challenges that life poses at them, forms the rest of the story. I found the book to be quite riveting, and Burke has adopted a no-frill writing approach. Hence, the narration is crisp, and offers us a quick read. I am thankful to Burke, the publishers Zealous Quill Press, and Jaime Arnold from Rockstar PR for gifting me with a copy of this book.
