This book hit me like a ton of flowers raining all at once. When Lily finds herself at crossroads in her life, having to suddenly face life, figure things out, and win battles for herself and her extra intelligent 7-year-old son, she’s clear where she wants to head. Packing up all her belongings and memories into an U-Haul, she sets off leaving behind New York and its grandeur, to her smallish hometown. As we follow Lily’s story of self-discovery, we also encounter other women struggling to come to terms with what life has thrown at them. Warm, captivating, and lovely, the story weaves all their lives into layers, thanks to Killoren’s brilliant narration. I found this to be a wonderful read, and I’m grateful to Killoren, Amphoare Publishing, and NetGalley, for gifting me with a copy of this book.
