This absolutely riveting cat and mouse thriller gripped me from the very first page. What should have been a regular day doesn't dawn well for detective Tommen. Slapped with a murder charge he never committed, he finds himself in a big soup, as his memory fails him with respect to what he was doing at the time of the murder. With no help, no hope, and no alibi, Tommen is forced to flee the police and take refuge in the underworld. While Tommen struggles to unravel clues about the murder, Tommen stumbles upon an organized crime ring. Halfway through the book, the reader is able to come to terms with who the murderer could possibly be, but nevertheless the mystery doesn't lose its charm.
The pace is brilliant, and the narration couldn't have been better. A brilliant murder mystery that shouldn't be missed.
